Cassidy Holding Satellite Office Hours to Seek Budget Input
CHICAGO, IL – State Representative Kelly Cassidy (D-Chicago) will host satellite office hours on Monday, April 16th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Centro Romero, located at 6216 N. Clark to seek input from residents on the budget and ensure more residents receive assistance accessing state services.
“There are going to be some difficult decisions on how to trim the state budget in the coming weeks and it is crucial that I hear from residents to know what programs they use most and need to be protected in the state’s budget,” Cassidy said. “With budget talks in full swing, I want to see what ideas the community has also to help us save more money and resources moving forward.”
Cassidy’s office will hold satellite location office hours to help connect with local residents, business owners and other community members closer to where they live or work. Participants are welcome to discuss pending legislation, receive aid in navigating state agencies, and ask questions about state programs or the budget.
“I want to make sure that everyone’s voices are heard in the legislature as we work to craft a tightened budget,” Cassidy said. “I hope that residents of the 14th District will take advantage of these office hours and come up with creative and innovative ways to help out state move forward and out of this recession.”
Rep. Cassidy’s full-time constituent service office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and by appointment. Appointments are not needed during Rep.
